July 19, Kelseyville, CA Okay! My peeps:-) One more for the books. We had a really great show tonight. We played a resort here and didn't know what to expect. But, once I saw the crowd coming into the venue I knew we would be alright. We hit the stage with the usual Hornsby flare. The first two songs were Preacher 1 and 2. And for the first time ever we went into The Road Not Taken and back into Preacher 2. We had never taken this road before;-) The audience was with us all the way. Bruce was in a good mood and it came through in his playing. For some reason tonight came together so easy. There are some nights when it feels like a struggle to go from one song to the next. But, not tonight. We also had a very special guest tonight. Ms. Bonnie Raitt sat in on the last song of the set. As always we love having Bonnie sit in with us. Bonnie has such a great spirit and her voice and guitar are gifts to us from the heavens. And now we are on to the next city. I think we are all having a ball on this tour. By the way... I am not into being in the wilderness. And to me this was the wilderness. I need tall buildings. There were deer, wild turkeys and all kind of little animals. Yuck! I know that some of you might think that I am nuts. And you are right. (I know it:-)) But, this is who I am. Give me the rat race:-) So! Squeak, Squeak yall :-) See you tomorrow and remember.
