July 20 - Saratoga, CA
Where are all my humpin' people at? Where are they at:-)
Tonight was about wine, women and song. The venue supplied the wine, the good people of San Jose and surrounding areas supplied the women and The Noisemakers supplied the songs. A good deal for all. It was sort of like a pot luck dinner:-) Everyone brought something. And it was all good. This is one of our favorite stops. We can always count on a great crowd and tonight was no exception. The band came out swinging and that's what the audience wanted.
Before the show Sonny and I went out and had fun with our sound man Caldwell. We are all like big kids and we like to give each other crap. So tonight was give Caldwell crap day. I like to tell Caldwell how much I hate the great outdoors. Speaking of outdoors. What the hell is going on with my shower the past few days? Once again I had a bunch of bugs in my shower. I think there is some kind of plan going around and the bugs are faxing a wanted sheet with my picture on it. This is nuts. I think the king of the bug world is sending out little bug scouting parties to scout my ass. They are trying to find out if I am weak, they want to know if I got game.:-) They will not get me. I am way too strong for the likes them.
Now that I've got that off my chest. Back to the show. We had a great show. There were a few surprises for the audience and the band too. We did a slow funky version of Spider Fingers, it was cool. There was a great version of Shadow Hand. There was one of Bruce's favorites... The Streets of Laredo:-( Like I said it was one of Bruce's favorites. We played The Good Life. It's great looking out into the crowd and watching the people groove to the music. This was the first time on the tour that we played Candy Mountain Run. (I love that song) And now we are on the bus traveling down a long road.
I've just got to mention the picture that Si sent to me. It shows our tour manager trying to keep the peace during a stage dance at one of our shows. Si thinks Peter looks like he's busting a move. I think he looks like he's snatching a purse:-) It's about time someone sent a picture of one of the crew dudes. They deserve to be embarrassed too:-)

Okay you funka-teers. It's on to San Diego.
Be there or be square or don't let you meat loaf:-) I know it sucks but, what the hell.
See you in SD
Go get your freaky deaky on;-)
