August 11 - Biltmore Estate, Asheville

Hello you sport fans:-)

Let's talk about the Biltmore shall we? It's never a dull moment here. I had a chance to meet some of you and, that was way cool. The weather held up for us again, there is something magic about the Biltmore. We have a very good relationship with this place. I love the way you guys party:-)

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! We hit the stage a few minutes past 8, and not a moment too soon. The Biltmore crowds are just out of control (in a good way). There is yelling and screaming from the moment we walk on stage. There is dancing and singing. Hello! Talk about feeling wanted. I heard my name being screamed almost as much as Bruce's.

Now! Some of you might be wondering what happened in Mandolin Rain. I think someone got a little too geek on a quiet section of the song. Bruce was trying to get a message across at one section and got a little distracted by the shouting for another song. All was cool and the show went on (to quote some songwriter that I've forgotten:-).

Tonight we had a couple of people sitting in. Thanks to Joe Lee. Talk about singing! This man set the place on fire on Big Rumble, Go Back To Your Woods and Wilson Pickett's Mustang Sally. I love hearing you guys sing the chrous (Ride Salley, Ride!) We also had Rick Carlisle, the head coach of the Indiana Pacers NBA basketball team, play piano on Defenders Of The Flag (great piano, drum breakdown). This was a geat show. I had a ball. Sonny was amazing. We had RS Hornsby playing the hell out of the guitar. RS sounded great doing duets with Bruce

You guys are crazy:-) I mean that in the best way. As soon as I hit the stage, there was a lady in the front row (you know who you are). You did that thing and I was finished for the rest of the night. There was another young lady that came up with finger signs to make J.V. It was great. Thanks for entertaining me. Thanks for having me at your party. We always feel very welcomed here. I also want to give a shout out to the local YMCA. Thanks for letting me work out;-)

Oh yeah! There was this little kid in a Tennessee Vols t-shirt, singing all of the words to Across The River (party on dude). Man what a show, both on and off stage. I can't wait to get back here. I'm glad the rain until the last few songs to fall.

Lets do it again next year. I'll bring the marshmallows and you bring the beer.

Sha-zam, Sha-zam, Sha-zam! Captain America to the rescue:-)

Peace JV
