August 22 - Charlottesville, VA
Okay good people. Let's talk about tonight's show........ It was amazing, great, wonderful, musical and just plain fun. We all agreed shortly after the show that this was a top five Noisemakers show of all time. From the first note we all kind of looked at each other and knew that this would be a special night. These nights don't come around very often. We've had a lot of great shows but, not a lot of magical shows.
This crowd was off the chain (black speak for great);-) I had a ball, at one point I tried to sneak out among you to watch a little of the show from the audience (I do this from time to time) I met some nice people. And Bruce sounded great.
It seem like everything I tried to do came so easy tonight. I love watching the audience rush up to the stage to get a little closer to the party. The energy that this crowd gave us was great. We had a few special guests come out and play a few songs. There was John D'Earth, one of the original Noisemakers (you sounded great OG "original gangster"). There was Rick Carlisle on piano for Defenders Of The Flag, a UVA alum. And the very special guest. Manwil, the 13 year old son of JT, who played the intro to Gonna Be Some Changes Made. I give you all a standing ovation. And of course, R.S. Hornsby was back playing some hot guitar.
I had a great time. Si was hangin with the big dogs "Woof, Woof Yall". Hey Si! NO MORE FOOTBALL!!!!!!!
This place was rocking tonight. I wish you had seen this show. It really was special. I hope we are back soon. Until then, let's stay safe, we want to see you the next time..
Peace from the south east...
J-Boogie putting it down.... Oh! I almost forgot... Brick house had a stankie thang on it..... Doin' it in the dirt:-)
