August 24 - Wolf Trap, Vienna, VA

Diary Wolftrap

Last night we howled at the moon! Wolftrap was off the cain, crazy happenin!. I always have a great time at this place. The sound is good and the crowd is always open for almost anything. Bruce came out in such a adventurous mood that he caught me off guard a few times with the first two songs. It was fun! My apologies for screaming the S word at one of those moments;-) This was another great show and we went to some new places with the music. As always. If you just open your mind this band will take you on a new trip. Sonny played a great drum solo tonight. I kept screaming at him "Please Hammer don't hurt em". He laughed his butt off. Bruce inserted "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" into "Funhouse". Ma Wimba We, baby!

R.S. sounded great once again. Our monitor engineer Caldwell Gray and his wife Chris brought around the 8 day old newborn baby to introduce for us to see before the show. Congratulations you two. I think that little ones spirit was all over the stage and gave us a good creative vibe.

There was the moment where Bruce had the audience chanting JT's son's name and, that was an awesome moment.

And then there were the dancers. There are some nights when the party crowd takes over the show and, last night was one of those times. We were playing Sunflower Cat and all of a sudden the dancers were on stage. This was a surprise to us but, in true Noisemaker fashion. The band played on to the delight of the crowd. You know we rate the dance party's ability to move your booties. And because of one enthusiastic dude in a green shirt, you guys are going to get The American Band Stand rating! I would give you the Soul Train but, dude was a little too much;-) (I mean this in a fun and wonderful way). As I've said before, you are not the only ones being entertained.

So now we are in Oyster Bay, NY. I am sitting outside of the venue on the bus writing this. And I must say this is going to be interesting. We are playing under a party tent. Just the way we like it.

I have to send a shout out to some old and new friends. Elyce and her mighty posse, Deo (aka Frosty) Pep- Rika and my main man Sean (I hope this the way you spell your name). Nicole (good luck in massage school). Lola and her niece.

Like I said. Last night we were howlin at the moon. Peace to you all.
