September 15 - Boulder, CO

Hey Boulder! We loved the gig. But you have to get a few restrooms closer to the venue. I know it's a local landmark. But Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-) We had to walk 3 blocks just to use the little boy's room. But, hey! This is the only thing that I can bitch about.

The rest of my time in Boulder was amazing. Starting off with getting to Boulder late on Thursday night and checking into the Boulderado Hotel. This hotel was built in 1908 and it had history all over it. I love the bar. The whole band had dinner at a great Sushi bar around the corner from the hotel. The food was off the chain......

And now to the show. We performed at a great old venue in Boulder. It's called The Chatauqua Theater. This place is old also, from the early 1900s. The inside looks like a big old barn. All wood and tall celings. The first time we played this place in 2004 was a nightmare. We were way to loud on stage and I think it hurt us. But this time we made sure at sound check that our stage volume was not too loud. Bruce chose a lot of the more musical numbers that we have in our master song list. And when he thought the band might be getting a little too loud B., would pull us back. It was a very fun set. The crowd was great. We had dancers to one side of the stage. At one point Bruce invited the ladies to the stage for a dance and, I must say, you guys were well behaved. The stage dancers never got in the way of the audience view of Bruce and the band.

After the show I had the chance to hang out and talk to a lot of the people. It was a blast. I love hearing what you guys think of the show and your take on what is happening on the stage. Thanks for the entertainment:-) Tomorrow we are off to Telluride,CO. This show is going to be outside and the weather is not going to be my best friend. I am not with the cold weather and this is looking like low 30s or 40s at showtime. Ouch:-( What the hell is going on? I am going to wear mittens:-) I don't care how funny it looks.

Peace,
JV
