July 15 .. St Louis, Missouri

Hello again. We were in St. Louis last night and the show was great. But, before I get into that I have to let you in on the last few days.

We had two days off in St. Louis and the first day I got my Tiger Woods on. Yes! There was golf.. Tony LaRussa the manager for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, hooked us up with golf at this great public course. It is called Gateway. The course was fantastic. It was hard and fun at the same time. Everyone who played lost every ball we had. I had to beg the beer woman for a few;-) But, having said all of that and, with me losing 3 sleeves of balls (9 balls), I still shot a 107. Not bad considering just off of every fair way was grass 2 to 3 feet high. Once your ball went there you were finished. Thanks Tony:-)

And now I have to give a shout out to Alex and Reagan. Two of the most handsome little dudes I've ever met. We took pictures and Alex is a huge fan of Bruce and The Noisemakers. His favorite song is "The Chill". I'm sorry that we did not get a chance to play it for you this time Alex but, we will soon.

We played this gig once before and it was hot.. Well, it was hot again but, this time there were flying bugs all around the stage. I don't remember them from last time:-( They kept landing on me and flying all around my head, It was creepy. Many of you know how I feel about bugs so I won't get into it again. But, YucK!

Shows like this are made for jamming and that is what we did. From beginning to end. The audience was huge and open to all that we do. Bruce was in a good mood and playful. The band started out hitting from the top.

This was one of those shows that I knew would be good from the soundcheck. The band was sounding good and everyone was feeling good. There were some great musical moments as well as funny 'what are we doing", moments. But, once again that is what makes this band so much fun. We enjoy making good music and we enjoy watching each other stumble a little:-)

I am going to miss these guys so much.

It also a blast watching the audience. You guys are fun. I love watching the dancers. Now we are on to the next episode. And then home for a month before the last few shows of the year. So lets have fun together.

Peace and Chicken Grease,

JV
