July 21st

San Diego, CA.

Once again we are at one of the most beautiful settings in the country. A perfect place to see a concert. If you are in San Diego please check "Humphrey's By The Bay". The stage is set up in the courtyard surrounded on three sides by the hotel and the fourth side is a marina. It is awesome to watch a concert there. And now to the show.

It seems with every show the band just gets better. I don't know that I've ever been around a group musicians that are constantly reaching beyond the day before. I felt really good tonight. I could hear Bruce very well and that opened more musical options for me. It was clear from the start that tonight Bruce was in a very musical mood. And by that I mean, we were going to be challenged a little more, so stay on your toes guys. There will be a lot of curve balls thrown tonight. One of the great things about Bruce is his playfulness. But, that is also a scary part of this job. On more than one occasion each one of us have crashed and burned trying to follow our fearless leader:-}

But tonight went off without too many bumps. Thanks San Diego. I have to say we have a great group of crew guys, and sometime they don't get enough credit for putting up with us. So thank you guys, Peter, Dagle, Reggie, Chuck, Caldwell and Ryan. You guys are great.

Also a big thanks to those of you concerned about my wrist. Thanks for your tips and advice. I am seeing a doctor about the problem, but I will never turn away from an alternative way.

Tomorrow is another day off. I really need it (not). I am going to really get some rest this time and try not to wear myself out in the gym;-} Let's take bets on this one. Okay all. Nightie, Night:-}

Peace from the bottom end, JV:-} Don't forget to feel the rumble!!! I'm out!
